I like it iced, usually, and with almond milk so it is less viscous. I was raised drinking skim milk so any drink that is thicker than watermilk tastes creepy. Must be sweetened at least a little. The nature of the matcha allows for more adventerous flavors, but vanilla or simple syrup still make for a perfect drink.
Hot is preferred but is not a dealbreaker. Doubleshot in a medium sized cup so it is still watery, not too strong. Should not contain flavors, sweeteners, or milk; this is a unique drink as it is to only be prepared black.
Unlike the Americano, this drink must always be sweetened. Any type of milk is acceptable, as a latte exists as more of a caffeinated melted milkshake. This drink can be seen as both a coffee and a sweet snack. Standard cafe flavors are best for the latte, i.e.: vanilla, chocolate, aka MOCHA, caramel, etc. Creative floral flavors may co-exist nicely, but *fruit flavors are generally a no-go. *Please note the barista may still enact creative immunity when flavoring/sweetening this drink because I am always committed to consuming any type of dessert. Drink may be hot or iced; this can be determined by the weather, how prone I feel to coughing that day, and/or how committed the barista feels to cleaning off a steamwand and metal milk pitcher.
